Do you know innovative thinkers eager to develop novel methods and technologies for the life sciences, who are also interested to move their careers towards positions in research infrastructures, core facilities or service units?
Through our career accelerator ARISE, EMBL and the Marie Sklodowska Curie Program are looking for experienced researchers, engineers and other method and technology developers to work with us on:
· development of novel technologies, methods and techniques that can be offered as a scientific service to other researchers (e.g. in data sciences, computational engineering, imaging, optical engineering, mechanical engineering and molecular biotechnologies)
· advancement of services that are used by researchers working in diverse fields of life sciences (e.g. genome biology, biophysics, planetary biology etc.)
· their own training to become skilled senior staff of diverse research infrastructures.
We offer a unique training which is preparing ARISE fellows for jobs in research infrastructures, e.g. jobs of senior developers, scientific technology experts or operational managers. The training which we provide covers over 50 topics on management of research infrastructures, teams and projects, service provision and user support, science and funders policy, technology transfer and basics of entrepreneurship.
There are excellent career progression chances in this field that allow to run your teams, support science progress, and use the expertise to the full potential.
