Conference invitation: Sustainable planet, sustainable health – how science-based solutions can drive transformative change

On 1 June, in connection with the 50th anniversary of the UN's first environmental conference, Karolinska Institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University and Stockholm Environment Institute are arranging a one-day conference. The main focus is on how the academy through research and higher education contributes to the transition to a more sustainable development.

WE HEAR YOU—A CLIMATE ARCHIVE is a collaboration between Dramaten (The Royal Dramatic Theatre of Sweden), The Earth Commons—Georgetown University’s Institute for Environment and Sustainability, The Embassy of Sweden in Washington DC, and The Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics. We Hear You—A Climate Archive is co-conceived by Caitlin Nasema Cassidy and Jacob Hirdwall. Additional support for this project is provided by the Swedish Arts Council and The Barbro Osher Pro Suecia Foundation.

  • His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi E.K Masisi, President of the Republic of Botswana.

  • Inger Andersen, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme.

  • Dr Andrew Haines is Professor of Environmental Change and Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

  • Noura Berrouba, chair of the National Council of Swedish Youth Organizations (LSU).

  • Dr Nyovani Madise is the head of the Malawi office at the African Institute for Development Policy.

  • Dr Arunabha Ghosh is an expert on international public policy, author and columnist.

  • Henrik Henriksson is CEO of H2 Green Steel, a board member and author.

  • Elis Wibacke, President of Stockholm University Student Union.
