Gun Rudquist, head of policy at the Baltic Sea Centre at Stockholm University, is one of the speakers at the associated event "Acting for a healthy planet: Environmental Science-Policy Solutions and Pathways" during the Stockholm +50 conference.

The first United Nations conference on the environment was held in 1972 in Stockholm and was the starting point for the UN Environment Programme (UNEP). To commemorate the 50th anniversary of this event, the governments of Sweden and Kenya holds the conference Stockholm +50.

During this associated event of the conference, arranged by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Northern Europe and SDSN Kenya, the theme is to put science into policy and practice for a healthy planet.
