From EMBL:
We are pleased to announce the EMBO | EMBL Symposia for the second half of 2022. Currently, we are organising face-to-face meetings again. We advise registering early, as we still have a reduced capacity in the Auditorium.
There is an option to attend the symposia virtually, however, the poster sessions, talks and networking sessions will all take place onsite in the Advanced Training Centre. We are very excited to welcome you all back to the beautiful Heidelberg!
Jointly organised by EMBO and EMBL, the symposia focus on interdisciplinary life sciences topics and provide scientists with a platform to exchange ideas. They address a broader scientific community and emphasise scientific communication and collaboration.
This symposium provides a discussion platform for all scientists interested in the biology of infection. Cell biologists, microbiologists and immunologists will discuss in joint sessions recent progress in our understanding of host-pathogen interactions.

Reconstructing the human past: using ancient and modern genomics
This meeting will involve scientists from population genetics, bioinformatics, microbiology, anthropology, archaeology and history and will strengthen future interactions in this young research field that is already changing the way we think about our past and will shape how we study genetic variation in the future.
13 – 16 September 2022

Following the great success of the virtual 2020 edition of this long-standing symposium, we are looking forward to returning to an in-person meeting for 2022, bringing together leaders in the RNA field, post-docs and students, with the aim of disseminating and discussing the most recent results.
12 – 15 October 2022
EMBL Heidelberg and Virtual
Join fellow scientists to discuss phenotypic, developmental and transgenerational plasticity from a wide range of disciplines and perspectives, focusing on its underlying molecular mechanisms and its role in driving evolutionary novelty.
26 – 29 October 2022
EMBL Heidelberg and Virtual
Neurovascular biology is a young, emerging field that aims to unravel the molecular communication between the nervous system and the vasculature. In this symposium, we bring together researchers from vascular biology and neurobiology to foster interdisciplinary exchange and new emerging concepts on how vascular and nervous systems crosstalk to maintain organ homeostasis and function.
