Call for PhD projects in the eSSENCE graduate school in data-intensive
science 2024
The graduate school addresses the challenge of data-intensive science
both from the
fundamental methodological perspective and from the perspective of
data-driven science
applications. The school is an arena where researchers in computational
science, data science
and data-driven applications work closely together to accelerate
data-intensive scientific discovery.
The school works to create synergies between the involved Strategic
Research Areas, and
complements related initiatives at the university and nationally, as
well as encourages collaboration
with industry and society.
The school is now opening its second call, this time for up to 8 PhD
projects, of which
* 2 projects are in the area of data-driven life science,
* 2 projects are in the area of data-driven renewable energy research,
* and up to 4 projects in e-Science research towards data-intensive science.
This year's call is a collaboration between eSSENCE, SciLifeLab and
StandUp for Energy.
The funding is 500kSEK per year for four years, or about a 50% covered
PhD position.
Deadline to apply: June 10th.
